The Lighthouse product is the largest and most complex of the Light Web product line. It is an ASP-based Web Portal Content Management System which provides all the tools necessary for the creation of Virtual Communities of any scale. 

Organisations such as regional-sized bodies, corporations, non-profits and associations can now easily showcase their members' capabilities and network their members' needs and dialogues, either to the world or within its own virtual boundaries.

Virtual Communities are the wave of the future and the Lighthouse product is poised to take advantage of this trend, with a built-in revenue model for the owner or sponsor.  Lightweb will also participate in co-owning of Virtual Communities and other innovative rollout strategies.

This product was developed within the context of a project funded primarily by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, to create a Regional Economic Development Portal for Business Central Coast. The purpose of this project is to bring online businesses and communities throughout the BCC region, as a means of showcasing the region to the world, businesses to the community, and the community to itself, as well as increasing the efficiency of communication between these entities.

Light Web believes that the product is by far the best solution at the under $100,000 price point. This product has been developed in ASP, but we will be developing a .NET version of the product to keep it on the cutting edge.

As is true of all of our products, the Lighthouse product can be customised to meet client’s specific needs, and is constantly evolving and growing.
